BRIEF INTRODUCTION
Shandong Polytechnic was founded in 1951, and it was once known as Jinan Railway Institute and Jinan Railway Vocational and Technical College. It was renamed as Shandong Polytechnic with the approval of the government of Shandong province in November 2010. The college is directly under the administration of Shandong Provincial Education Department and is the unique higher vocational college with railway industry background in Shandong province. It is one of the national backbone vocational colleges and the construction unit of high-level majors cluster under the national “Double High-level Program”.
The college consists of 10 schools and departments:

The college consists of 10 schools and departments, which are Railway School (Railway Research Institute), Urban Rail School (Urban Rail Research Institute), School of Intelligent Manufacturing (IM Research Institute), School of New Generation Information Technology Industry (Information Technology Industry Research Institute), Bioengineering School (Bioengineering Research Institute), Civil Engineering School, Business Management School, Marxism School (Research Center of Ideological and Political Education), the Basic Course Teaching Department and Physical Education Department. At present, the airport school and port school are under construction, and go with an independent research institute of vocational higher education. There are 167 experimental and training rooms, with total value of teaching and research equipment 246 million yuan, including 3 productive training bases of the Ministry of Education, 1 training base of rail vehicle technology project competition of the Ministry of Transport, 1 public training base of the shift of growth drivers from old to new in Shandong Province “the public training base of rail transit and equipment manufacturing”, and 6 provincial technological skills innovation platforms such as Shandong Engineering Technology Research and Development center.
In nearly 70 years since the beginning, the college has been cultivating a large number of high-quality skilled personnel with both integrity and ability, making positive contributions to the modernization of national rail transit industry and the regional economy development. The college has been entitled as “National Advanced Unit of Vocational Education”, “Advanced unit of education in Shandong Province”, “Advanced Collective of College Graduates Employment in Shandong Province”, “Shandong Spiritual Civilization Unit”, “Shandong Provincial Civilized Campus” etc. Several mainstream medias, such as China Central Television, Guangming Daily, China Education Daily, People's Daily have reported the achievements of college for many times.

Railway Engineering Technology |
To cultivate technical personnel engaged in construction, inspection and maintenance for high-speed railway, ordinary speed railway, urban light rail, urban subway and other large-scale construction enterprises, as well as operation and maintenance management departments. It is the key major supported by the central finance and the pilot major of modern apprenticeship in Shandong Province and Ministry of Education. |
Railway Bridge and Tunnel Engineering Technology |
To cultivate technical personnel for sustainable development who are engaged in construction management, test detection, bridge and tunnel maintenance and reinforcement and other production management jobs. It has a construction technology training field, a bridge structure training room, etc supported by central finance. |
Urban Rail Transit Vehicle Technology |
To cultivate technical personnel mainly engaged in driving, repairing as well as operating and maintaining urban rail transit trains. It is a national transportation demonstration major in vocational colleges, a modern apprenticeship pilot major of the Ministry of education, and a core construction major of high-level specialty group with Chinese characteristics. It has urban rail vehicle maintenance workshop, urban rail train simulation driving, urban rail train braking, urban rail train network, urban rail vehicle electrical and other training rooms which are supported by central and provincial finance. It is the first major with real subway vehicles used for teaching and training in China. |
Urban Rail Operation Management |
To cultivate technical personnel mainly engaged in the work of rail transit station attendant, traffic attendant, passenger attendant, station master on duty, station master, traffic dispatcher, etc. It is a modern apprenticeship pilot major of the Ministry of education, a key construction major of high-quality higher vocational colleges in Shandong Province, and a key construction major of high-level specialty group with Chinese characteristics. It offers a first-class practical teaching environment in China, including a number of training rooms such as urban rail dispatching command, urban rail train operation organization, urban rail station control, urban rail emergency drill, and urban rail intelligent AFC training area. |
Construction Engineering Technology |
To cultivate engineering technology personnel engaged in on-site construction management, quality acceptance, construction safety, material detection, engineering cost, etc, for civil engineering construction, engineering supervision, engineering consulting and other enterprises. |
Accounting |
It is mainly for enterprises and institutions, accounting firms, accounting service consulting companies, to cultivate personnel who are competent for daily accounting jobs such as cashier, bookkeeper, tax reporter, cost accounting, computerized accounting, etc., and engaged in basic accounting, accounting analysis, accounting practice management, etc |
Electrical Automation Technology |
Cultivate high-quality technical personnel with basic theory and professional knowledge of modern electrical engineering technology and automatic control technology, master the core skills in the field of automation, have strong engineering practice ability, and can be competent for the installation and commissioning of automatic production line, design and operation maintenance of power supply and distribution system, construction and maintenance of railway traction power supply system, etc. It is one of the first batch of Higher Vocational Majors, provincial demonstration majors, key construction majors of national backbone colleges and high-level construction majors of Shandong Province |
Note, if necessary the college could adjust the diploma programs for international students on the basis of the number of enrollment.

2. Original copy of final diploma or notarized duplicated one (scanned version)
3. Original copy of academic transcript or duplicate after being notarized (scanned version)
4. Photocopy of passport (scanned version)
5. Physical test result provided by authorized agency (scanned version)
6. A recent front passport-size photo without hat on (white background certificate photo) ( jpg. version)
7. Financial guarantee letter (certificate of deposit more than 5000CNY can be provided by Chinese Bank after entering China)
8. No Criminal Record Certificate (provided by local police station)
STUDY DURATION:
The study duration of higher vocational education is 3 years.
